BRC provides the rider with basic, introductory, formal instruction about how to ride a motorcycle. This 2-day course is composed of approximately 5 hours of classroom and 10 hours of range instruction. Successful completion of the course qualifies the Participant for the motorcycle Endorsement "M" on their Operator's License. Motorcycles are provided for use during the course. The course cost is $250.

- Risk management
- Street riding techniques
- The motorcycle environment
- Motorcycle controls and operation
- Fundamental riding skills of shifting, braking, and cornering
Course Policies:
- MUST be at least 16 years of age, with a valid Provisional Operator’s Permit (POP) or Operator’s Permit and provide a parental waiver for riders between 16 and 18 years of age.
- The eCourse is required by MSF and DMV and must be successfully completed with a score of 80% or better and will take approximately 3 hours. The eCourse requires the student to have access to high-speed Internet with JavaScript enabled on your browser. We will email you the online eCourse information 2 weeks prior to your class. The eCourse must be successfully completed prior to the hands-on training component. Each student must have their own unique email address.
Participant must have:
- A good sense of balance
- All students must already be able to balance a two-wheel vehicle such as a bicycle. The course is not designed to teach someone to balance a single-track, two-wheel motorcycle.
- A valid Operator’s License or Provisional Operator’s Permit
- Completed eCourse certificate/certificate number
- For the riding portion of the course, Participants MUST provide their own protective gear, including:
- Over-the-ankle footwear
- Long non-flare pants (jeans preferred)
- Full-fingered gloves (preferably leather)
- Long-sleeved shirt or jacket
- Eye protection (glasses/sunglasses are permitted)
- DOT approved motorcycle helmet
- Participants will NOT be permitted to ride without this protective gear!
Participants should be prepared to ride in adverse weather conditions and dress accordingly.
If instructors deem a rider to be a safety risk to themselves or other riders, he or she will be asked to step out of the class. There will be NO REFUND issued.
Successful completion of the Basic Rider Course waives the requirement to take the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) written examination and road test, which qualifies the Participant for the motorcycle class “M” endorsement on their Operator's License.

Rescheduling –
A change of class date may be possible, pending availability of seats. This request must be made by the Monday prior to your scheduled class. A $50.00 rescheduling fee will be required after two course reschedules.
There will be no refunds after the Monday prior to class except for documented emergencies.
Cancellation Policy Participant -
To receive a refund, notification must be made more than 5 calendar days prior to the start of the course, less $25 processing fee.
No refunds will be made to participants that cancel with less than 5 days’ notice, are late to a class, dismissed, counseled out, voluntarily leave, do not pass a written or riding evaluation, have previously rescheduled, or missed a segment of either course.

Classes may be canceled without notice due to inclement weather, lack of registrations, or other unforeseen problems. In such cases, participants will receive a full refund or may reschedule for a new class date.

BRC2 is designed as an excellent skills refresher and enhancement course for the rider who has experience motorcycle riding, either in the past or currently. During the 8-hour course, the rider practices and demonstrates riding skills on his/her own motorcycle. This one-day course is composed of approximately 3 hours of classroom and 5 hours of range instruction. The cost of this course is $150. The completion of a 2 hour eCourse is required before attending class. The eCourse information will be emailed to you 2 weeks prior to class.
2024 BRC2 available classes: October 12. Class time is 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Course Policies:
- MUST be 19 years of age with a minimum of 1 year of riding experience.
- Participants that provide their own motorcycle must provide proof of ownership and insurance. This class is for 2-wheel motorcycles only; 3-wheel bikes are not permitted.
- We have motorcycles available for use during class or participants can bring their own.
